Schawel + Coles are a long established graphic design and business consulting firm in Salt Lake City. When they relocated to a shabby old office in the historic Judge building, I helped remodel and redesign their space. As one of Salt Lake's most cutting edge design firms, they needed a flexible, clean and inspiring space for their dynamic workforce.
After tearing out horrible 70's drop ceilings and decades of ducts and wires, we then reduced the space down to the raw basics.
A dozen hand painted billboards  for a period movie I made that were headed for the dumpster were salvaged and cut into 15"x15" squares to tile the corner wall.
Long, common butcher-block work tables and cool paint colors make a friendly, communal vibe that encourages teamwork and casual interface.
